Peter Thormeyer

Post-adolescently socialized in Dresden's electronic music scene, Peter started connecting and networking throughout the city's subcultural potential over a decade ago. After years as a freelancer, he now works for the municipality of Dresden as the "Neustadtkümmerer" and serves as a soft interface between the administration and the community of the Neustadt district, the alternative, most vibrant and colorful part of Dresden. In this role, he coordinates the exchange between professionals, initiatives, and authorities. Employees of child and youth services, senior services, refugee support, the police, and municipal enforcement, as well as associations, organizations, and citizens, receive his support in building networks. The goal is to bring together as many societal actors as possible to solve problems collectively and drive positive developments forward.
