Mireia Ventura, PhD in Pharmacy, is the Director of the Drug Checking Services at Energy Control-ABD, a role she has held since 2007. With over two decades of involvement in Energy Control, she possesses extensive experience in field interventions and outreach work within nightlife settings. Since 2007, she has actively contributed to the scientific dissemination of new psychoactive substances (NPS). Internationally, Mireia has coordinated the Trans European Drug Information (TEDI) network since its 2011 inception. TEDI links European drug checking services, sharing crucial data and experience with the European monitoring system, including the EUDA. Her commitment to policy is demonstrated by her membership in the European Commission's Civil Society Forum on Drugs (CSFD) since 2017, where she advises on drug policy formulation. Furthermore, since 2020, Mireia has been an EUDA-selected expert for the risk assessment of NPS, reinforcing her central role in the European response to evolving drug trends.
