Kim Winterhalter

About

Kim Winterhalter (she/they) is 32 years old and studied both business administration (BA) and empirical cultural studies (BA&MA) at the University of Hamburg. Kim currently works as an awareness officer in organizational and club operations at the Golden Pudel Club HH (for 3.5 years now) and is responsible for regional awareness issues for various actors in the Hamburg scene at Clubkombinat Hamburg e.V. in the projects wtf- what the fear and tba - to be aware. These projects promote violence prevention concepts both inside and outside the club and aim to encourage dialogue on safer partying and working. As a heterosexual, white, female-socialized person, Kim constantly confronts her own privileges and reflects on missing perspectives and gaps in her work. In addition, Kim has also been active as a DJ for 5 years and volunteers for discrimination-sensitive spaces in her own collectives fuego & 4EO, as well as in the FLINTA* Roundtable HH. Kim gained further experience as co-founder of the Fluid Festival in organizational and implementation awareness work and also volunteered as an external consultant in the conception of awareness structures in other clubs and collectives, such as [PAL]. Kim is also active in the field of education and regularly gives workshops for collectives and clubs on awareness issues in the club context. They combines these different perspectives on awareness work in all of their projects and concerns.
