About

Lisa Weinhold is part of the Berlin Clubcommission e.V., where she works on cultural policy, spatial development, financing for club culture, and project development. Currently, Lisa is the project co-lead for Modellfläche TXL, a project aiming to transform a part of the former Tegel airport into an open, interdisciplinary space for club culture — where diverse cultural fields, artists, and urban practice actors come together. In the long term, the project aims to create a new, vibrant, and inclusive venue for Berlin’s club scene. Beyond the work at the Clubcommission, Lisa is also active as a DJ and promoter, with many years of engagement in Berlin’s club culture and subcultural scenes.

Model spaces, optional spaces, potential locations – Berlin offers many approaches to the alternative use of urban spaces. Together with the new operators of the TXL model space, the Clubcommission and urban practitioners, we discuss how urban spaces can be opened up for cultural, social and experimental uses.
