About
Karsten Schölermann (born in 1960) started out as a musician in the early 1980s before going on to study business administration and earning a degree. He has been running the KNUST club in Hamburg since 1983. In addition, he has been the owner of the LOGO live music club since 1994 and, since January 2015, co-partner of the Harburg subculture center club “Stellwerk.” From 2012 to 2020, he was co-founder and chairman of the federal venue association “LIVEKOMM” and is currently chairman of the “Bundesstiftung Livekultur” (Federal Foundation for Live Culture), which was newly founded in 2021. His activities in Hamburg also include the events “Knust2Go” (various venues) and “Landungsbrücken Open Air” (harbor birthday) – and he has been active as an open-air event organizer in the Hanseatic city for over 30 years.
