Stefan Schleifer is head and authorized signatory of swa KreativWerk GmbH & Co. KG, which develops and operates the old gasworks in Augsburg. A 70,000 square meter listed site for culture, creative industries, nightlife and open-air events. He studied history, cultural work (Karlsruhe, Münster) and cultural management (Ludwigsburg). After working in the fields of (pop) culture and design, he joined the City of Augsburg in 2013 worked for over ten years in the Department of Culture, World Heritage and Sports of the City of Augsburg as head of a staff unit on various projects between administration, night-time economy and on cultural urban development / placemaking.
