DJ Crawford has been active for more than 30 years. Starting in South Africa, moving to London and ending up in Berlin, he has always enjoyed sharing his wide ranging and developing taste in music. Clubbing in Tokyo in the early 90s, the nascent house, techno and drum & bass scenes of post-apartheid South Africa, Andrew Weatherall’s Rotter’s Golf Club parties in London, as well as Berlin’s love of techno have all left their mark. Friendships with African and Columbian music enthusiasts have helped to further widen his horizons, fuel his collector’s instinct and shape him as a DJ. He has been accompanying Rob Bennett’s Technoyoga sessions since 2010 at clubs like Sysyphus and many festivals, including Fusion and Bucht der Traümer. The music he plays for the Trance Dance Workshop with Rob Bennett draws on all these influences in pursuit of trance.
