Queer Communities, Dance, and the Law of Exclusion

The new oppressive order feeds on institutional and rhetorical hostility targeting queer lives. The law “On the Protection of Family Values and Minors” adopted in 2024 directly threatens the livelihood of queer individuals. Club counter-life in Georgia has been shaping itself as a support network and a sanctuary for personal sovereignty. Beka Gabadadze, a co-organiser of “Kiki” queer parties at Khidi Club, alongside artist Koko Archprincess, will guide us through the personal realities and political dimensions of being queer in Georgia today and the state of dancing under pressure.
