Cristiana Vale Pires (she/her) holds a degree in Psychology, a master's degree, and a PhD in Anthropology. She has postdoctoral and independent research experience in gender studies and historical perspectives on drug use in Portugal. She is a founding member of Kosmicare, where she works as a psychologist, clinical director, and project manager. She also collaborates as a researcher at the Research Center for Human Development (CEDH) and the University of Iceland. She is also a visiting assistant professor at the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Catholic University of Portugal (FEP-UCP). She has worked in the field of drugs since 2009 and, in recent years, has collaborated on research initiatives, consulting, and the design of responses and intervention protocols that are responsive to diversity and adapted to the experiences of people who use drugs. It has also collaborated, nationally and internationally, with organizations in the nightlife sector and music festivals in the implementation of protocols and actions to promote risk reduction, psychological first aid, gender mainstreaming, and ethics of care.
