Guram Imnadze

Guram Imnadze is a Tbilisi-based lawyer and human rights defender. His professional work focuses on Georgia’s repressive criminal justice policies, the impunity of law enforcement institutions, and the independence of the judiciary. He has been a strong advocate for humane drug policy, the rights of vulnerable groups, and greater accountability within the police and state security sectors. Guram has extensive experience in strategic litigation, particularly in cases involving inhumane or degrading treatment and police abuse. He currently lectures at two Georgian universities and is a member of the Movement for Social Democracy — a newly established left-wing movement in Georgia dedicated to advancing social justice and democracy.
