Niklas Effenberger is a researcher at Fraunhofer IAO in the Department of Urban Systems Engineering. He explores how nature and urban spaces can be linked in ways that support sustainable, creative and socially inclusive cities, with a special interest in what evening and night time settings can contribute. He works across research, public administration and culture to develop joint approaches, including ideas that connect nocturnal ecology with night time economies. At Stadt nach Acht 2025 he moderates the panels on nightlife and sustainability.
